ANGLICAN UNION LEADERSHIP TEAM

The Rt. Rev. Kevin Francis Donlon

The Rt. Rev. Kevin Francis Donlon, Ph.D., LL.M. currently serves as the Apostolic Prefect of the Anglican Union and Assistant Bishop of Zanzibar in the Anglican Church of Tanzania. His ministry stands at the intersection of historic Anglican order and missionary renewal, bringing together sacramental faithfulness and disciplined ecclesial oversight.

Formed within the Anglo-Catholic tradition, Bishop Donlon is deeply committed to the Church’s apostolic continuity, reverent worship, and canonical integrity. His leadership within the Anglican Union reflects a conviction that authentic mission must be rooted in ordered communion, theological clarity, and faithful formation.

His academic preparation reflects this integration of theology and governance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception Seminary, a Master of Arts in Systematic and Catechetical Theology from Saint John’s University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Anglican Studies from General Theological Seminary. He earned a Ph.D. in Historical Theology through the Graduate Theological Foundation, with further theological study at Kellogg College, University of Oxford. He also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Canon Law from Cardiff University, equipping him with recognized expertise in ecclesiastical jurisprudence.

As Apostolic Prefect, Bishop Donlon provides theological guidance and canonical accountability to clergy and ministries within the Anglican Union across multiple nations. His oversight seeks to ensure that mission remains sacramental, formation remains intentional, and leadership remains accountable within the wider life of the Anglican Communion.

In both Tanzania and the global fellowship of the Union, his ministry reflects a steady commitment to safeguarding the Church’s inheritance while encouraging faithful witness in new and challenging contexts. His episcopal vocation is marked by clarity, stability, and a deep devotion to the ordered flourishing of Christ’s Church.

The Rt. Rev. P. J. Lawrence

The Rt. Rev. Dr. P. J. Lawrence currently serves as the Counsellor General for the Anglican Union. He is an experienced Anglican bishop, theologian, and educator whose ministry has spanned continents and contexts. Born in India, he was consecrated Bishop-in-Nandyal in the Church of South India in 2006 and served there through 2012, providing pastoral and administrative oversight to hundreds of congregations, clergy, schools, hospitals, and mission initiatives in the Diocese.

Following his episcopal leadership in South India, Bishop Lawrence has devoted his life to theological education and leadership development. He is the founder and director of the Centre for Theological Leadership Training (CTLT) based in the Cayman Islands, an institution focused on accessible higher education in church history, biblical studies, and pastoral formation. Through CTLT, he has helped shape programs that equip leaders and ministers around the world.

Bishop Lawrence has also served in senior roles in theological formation across the global South, including leadership of the Anglican Training Centre in Mauritius and involvement with Christian education initiatives in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. In recent years, he has been appointed Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Ruvuma, Tanzania, where he continues to support clergy and regional mission work in partnership with local church structures.

A seasoned pastor and teacher, Bishop Lawrence holds advanced theological credentials and brings a rich blend of ecclesial wisdom, global mission experience, and a lifelong commitment to forming faithful and effective leaders for the Church.

The rev. canon Paul Jagoe

The Rev. Canon Paul D. Jagoe currently serves as the Provost of the Anglican Union and is actively engaged in ministry in the United States. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1989 by the Episcopal Bishop of Texas and has served in a variety of pastoral, chaplaincy, and teaching roles over more than three decades of ordained ministry.

Canon Jagoe has been rector of congregations, a church planter, and a canon at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando, Florida. He has also served as a trauma and emergency room chaplain with Orlando Regional Medical Center, bringing pastoral care to people in crisis settings.

In addition to his ecclesial work, he is a hospice chaplain with Family Hospice in  Greenville, South Carolina, where he ministers compassionately to the dying and their families.

Canon Jagoe’s academic background includes a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Gordon‑Conwell Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Trinity School for Ministry. He also holds both a Bachelor of Education and Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.

The rev. canon Andrew doan

The Rev. Canon Andrew Doan serves as Vicar for Vocations for the Anglican Union. Ordained in 1989, he has more than three decades of faithful service in ordained ministry, having served within the Episcopal Church, the Anglican Mission, and, since its inception in 2018, the Anglican Union.

During his ministry, Canon Doan has shepherded congregations in Maitland and Winter Haven, Florida, bringing steady pastoral leadership, sacramental faithfulness, and a deep commitment to forming mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

His primary vocational passion is the fulfillment of the Great Commission - equipping the Church to proclaim the Gospel with clarity, conviction, and confidence. He carries a particular burden for evangelism and for strengthening the Church’s capacity to raise up well-formed, mission-minded clergy and lay leaders who are rooted in Anglican faith and practice.

As Vicar for Vocations, he works to discern, guide, and support those exploring a call to ordained and licensed ministry, helping ensure that formation precedes authorization and that vocation emerges from deep rootedness in Christ and His Church.

His ministry has included service in Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. He has served three bishops as their  Canon Commissary,  currently serving in that capacity under the Ordinary of the Diocese of Lweru in the Anglican Church of Tanzania.
