Prayer during the WEEK

Our charisms, Prayer, Service, Unity, and Catechesis are the marks of the Anglican Union. All we are and hope to be in the image of God is grounded in the practice of Prayer. Clergy are encouraged to use the daily office in their spiritual disciples. And
all members and friends of the Anglican Union are encouraged to participate in the three weekly community acts of prayer accessible live, online Monday evening, Tuesday afternoon, and Friday at noonday.

Like all of our weekday prayer times online, Monday Night Prayer is open to anyone in or outside of the Anglican Union. We pray on the second, third, and fourth Mondays. The standard resource is the Order for Night Prayer found on the CoE Daily Prayer app available at Google and Apple app stores.

Because the AU is an international confraternity of oratories we have members located in many different global time zones. Tuesday Compline (UK time) is hosted for the AU by our colleagues in Europe. Tuesday leaders will advise participants about the particular order to be used each time we meet.

In recognition of our Lord’s death on a Friday at noon, the Anglican Union has maintained a steadfast commitment to prayer at the noon hour. We use a four-week cycle that repeats each month. When there is a 5th Friday, we repeat the order used on week 4. The order is available by clicking the PDF link below.
